We pulled the FMIC and packaged her up that day and haven't seen her since.. So I called 'ol Gerhard at Bell to see how things are going with it and he tells me its scheduled to be delivered today.. A few minutes later a dirty brown truck pulls up and unloads a bunch of packages, and in one of them this gem was waiting..

I was suprised to see it arrive back to me without getting a phone call from Gerhard as I asked him to call so we could talk about what we were going to do to it. This is an interesting approach to fixing the problem and I can see the logic behind it, but I'm a little iffy on it. It split twice in the same exact spot and this reinforcement is placed right in the middle of the break - they also re-welded that entire seam and it looks much stronger than it did originally. It will probably hold up to the 36psi we're targeting.. I'm not sure exactly what it looks like with these straps on it, kinda reminds me of a brief case or something like that..... ? I guess we've got a unique intercooler now. ;-) We're gonna put the FMIC back on this weekend and get her up to the dyno next week to see 800RWHP on the turbos alone.. We *might* be installing the N2O setup to make a few pulls with at the same time and if we do, it should be seeing the big 4. =) We're getting to a finish point with this vehicle and I know Gary Owens ("GO" here on tt.net) is itching to get his baby back; I know I would be. He will be daily driving this monster to and fro Boeing where he works; with AC, heat, PS, the works.. Should be a great testbed for the NFA kit's manifolds..
And here's where she was at before..
 Stay tuned
And they thought Z1 was just used parts.... =)
